Inspired by the upcoming action-adventure series Ride or Die, premiering July 15 on Prime Video and starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham as two besties on the run (see our feature story here), we compiled a list of our fave gal pal buddy movies you can rent on Prime this holiday weekend.
As Waddingham told us about female friendship being depicted onscreen: “We are seeing more and more of it and [Ride or Die] can only nudge it in the right direction. I love the fact that we’re both in our 50s and it’s not just about men. They have their fun, but at the core they would rather be with each other always. Everyone needs to flippin’ watch it to feel empowered.”
