To celebrate Mob Psycho 100’s 10th anniversary, the legendary anime series is set to get a theatrical experience next month.
Crunchyroll announced that five episodes of the immensely popular show will be screened in theaters on July 20 for the streamer’s Anime Nights series. Which episodes will be shown is up to fans, who will vote via Crunchyroll.
Tickets are currently for sale for screenings in the United States (here) and Canada (here).
The manga Mob Psycho 100 was originally published online from 2012 to 2017. The first season of the anime began in 2016, followed by the second season in 2019 and the third season in 2022. The series follows an eighth grader named Mob who has powerful psychic abilities but wants to be normal.
In other recent anime news, the director of the new remake of Ghost in the Shell has confirmed that no generative AI was used in the creation of the show.
Toma “Mokochan” Kimura, the director of anime production company Science Saru, spoke about the upcoming show (out on July 7) at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Festival.
“We wanted every street sign to be specifically designed, but it became too much of a burden,” he said. “Instead, we used this worm-like lettering that looks like kanji but is actually gibberish. We decided on this before generative AI became prevalent, so please know that zero GenAI was used on the project.”
