Taylor Lewan called out Travis Kelce over not being invited to his wedding to Taylor Swift.
“When it comes to weddings, I try to have a stance, like don’t make it about yourself,” the tackle said, emphasizing taking “the high road” before questioning his exclusion.
Swift and Kelce tied the knot on Friday, July 3 at Madison Square Garden, in front of hundreds of friends and family members.
Travis Kelce is being called out by another NFL player for a wedding invite snub.
Taylor Lewan, who used to play for the Tennessee Titans and collaborated with the Kansas City Chiefs star, shared his thoughts on Tuesday’s of Bussin’ With the Boys, slamming the “intimate wedding” hosted by Kelce and Taylor Swift, which in reality, boasted hundreds of guests.
“An intimate wedding where only their closest friends closest friends and family went to. So, going into the weekend, I thought, ‘Oh, good. Didn’t get an invite. Checked my AOL account, reactivated that. No invite in there.’ And I was just making sure,” he began.
“Because at the end of the day, when it comes to weddings, I try to have a stance, like don’t make it about yourself,” the tackle said, emphasizing taking “the high road” in these situations.
Lewan mentioned sending Kelce a text message to say congrats and received a response pretty quickly, reiterating that he was happy for the newlyweds.

Lewan then brought up details about the wedding that took place at Madison Square Garden, and praised the couple for their millions of dollars of donations made ahead of their celebration. He recapped some of the attendees, rationalizing Pat McAfee, Paul Rudd, and one of Swift’s childhood best friends, Abigail Anderson, making the cut.
He listed other guests such as soccer star Alex Morgan, Benson Boone, Bowen Yang, Brad Pitt, and Fox Sports rules analyst Dean Blandino. “Now I’m starting to think to myself, is this a personal shot?” he wondered aloud.
“When I saw George Kittle and Claire, I was like, ‘Oh, awesome. Tight end and friends. You should absolutely be there’….But then I saw George Kittle’s mom and mother-in-law.” One of Lewan’s cohosts argued that Kittle and Kelce were close, but Lewan wasn’t having it.
“They’re close, but like yo, we’re boys. I’ve known you for over 10 years. We text and call each other,” he responded. “I’m gonna take the high road. Okay. But I’m just thinking, dude, I’m clearly doing something wrong in our friendship.”
Despite being snubbed from the guest list, Lewan said, “I don’t even know if I would have gone…So, it’s all good. It’s all good. I probably couldn’t have made it, you know?”
“I’m not taking away from how amazing this wedding probably was,” the former football player added, noting that he just had questions about the guest list.

Lewan ended his stream of consciousness as though he was leaving a voice message on Kelce’s phone. “I am so happy for you to tie the knot. I could not be more excited for you and your beautiful wife,” he said into his phone.
“I just want to know what was the thought process for inviting people because I’m seeing a lot of individuals here and am wondering how it all happened breaking it all down. Hope you’re good.”

Lewan wasn’t the only football player to call out the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for a wedding snub. Will Compton, his Bussin’ With the Boys cohost who, like Lewan, attended Tight End University with Kelce weeks before the wedding, said he was “flabbergasted” about being snubbed.
“As I’ve been seeing these photos of everybody else at the wedding, I’m kinda flabbergasted why we didn’t get the invite,” he said on the Monday episode of the Wake Up Barstool podcast, adding that he planned to “talk to Travis” about why he didn’t receive an invite.
Among the guests at Swift and Kelce’s wedding were Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, Andy Reid, Adam Sandler, Sabrina Carpenter, Tom Brady, Lena Dunham, and Jason Sudeikis.
