We’re only a week in, and July has already seen heatwave after heatwave, with rising temperatures across London, Paris, New York City, and beyond. But Rihanna and A$AP Rocky don’t seem to mind. On Sunday, July 5, couple was photographed outside of the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan looking as happy as ever, getting into a red Ferrari for a summer drive.
For the date, Rihanna kept things easy and breezy, wearing a blue-and-white maxi dress that blew in the wind. From a criss-cross halter neckline, secured with a gold ring, the sailor stripes relaxed into a loose silhouette, floating to the ground. A thin keyhole slit added some extra breathability to the piece, making it the perfect choice for 100°F weather.
The Fenty founder matched the dress’ sculptural detail with a stack of gold bangles and hair accessories, but the highlight of her look might have to be her Schiaparelli “face” bag. The perfect color match to the red Ferrari, the small leather piece was adorned with the house’s signature anatomical motifs, creating a trompe-l’œil face in gold.
Rocky coordinated with a pop of color himself, wearing a dark charcoal-gray tee over a white long-sleeve with a little cherry-red patch on the cuff. The heat was clearly no issue for him, as he paired the top with baggy black cargo pants and tan Timberland boots. He even added some heavy-duty race-car gloves from Watson—taking his job as driver very seriously. The two were all smiles as they headed out for a joyride.
