From the wild to the Big Brother house. Two Survivor players are joining the previously announced 14 Houseguests for Season 28.
One was announced by Entertainment Weekly, with the other to be revealed at a later date. Survivor 50 fan-favorite contestant Rick Devens will compete this season. The outlet reported that a second Survivor player will also join the cast, but their identity has yet to be revealed. CBS and Big Brother producers have not confirmed the news, but sources close to the show told EW about the additions.
Devens first appeared on Survivor: Edge of Extinction in 2019. He was voted out on day 11, but that season’s twist allowed him to reenter the game. Devens eventually ended in fourth place when he lost a fire-making competition to eventual winner Chris Underwood.
Devens then returned for Season 50, where he almost didn’t make it on. The reality star was an alternate, but lucky for him, the cast was bumped up to 24 players, and he made it on the season. The player made it to seventh place after volunteering to flip the MrBeast coin, which gave him immunity at two Tribal Councils.
@Realitytv_fan on X reported that Dee Valladares will be the second player, but that is not confirmed. Valladares is a two-time Survivor winner for both Seasons 45 and 50.
This is not a first for Big Brother. Devens and the mystery player will be the second and third Survivor players Big Brother has had on the show. Cirie Fields, who joined Devens on Survivor 50, competed on Season 25 alongside her son, Jared. While Jared was evicted early, Cirie made it all the way to fifth place.

Big Brother Season 12 winner Hayden Moss competed on Survivor: Blood vs. Water and placed sixth. Season 16’s Caleb “Beastmode Cowboy” Reynolds competed on Kaoh Rong and Game Changers.
The other 14 houseguests, which include a drag queen, an MMA fighter, an American Idol contestant, and a rocket scientist, were all announced on July 7. Along with them, Big Brother shared that more houseguests would be announced on the July 9th premiere.
How will the Survivor player shake up the game, and who is joining Devens? Plus, will there be anyone else joining the game, like veteran players or reality stars from other shows? This season is marketed as “the biggest season ever,” so could fans see the most Houseguests ever?
