Will Compton of the NFL is clarifying his comments about not being invited to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
He says he was “just busting balls” when he said he was “flabbergasted” over the guest list.
Compton and Kelce have a long friendship and appear on each other’s respective podcasts.
NFL star Will Compton is walking back comments he made about being left off Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding guest list.
The former NFL linebacker and current host of the podcast Bussin’ With The Boys previously said he was “flabbergasted why [he and cohost Taylor Lewan] didn’t get the invite” to friend Kelce and Swift’s Friday nuptials at Madison Square Garden. On the Wake Up Barstool podcast on Monday, Compton told host David Portnoy he initially thought nothing of the snub until pictures of the wedding attendees started showing up online. (He appeared very perturbed that Fox Sports rules analyst Dean Blandino was there, and he wasn’t.)
Compton has collaborated with Kelce on his yearly Tight End University summit, and both have appeared as guests on their respective podcasts. (Compton just attended this year’s Tight End U with Kelce in Tennessee, where Swift popped up to perform at the Tight Ends & Friends charity concert.)
But on Tuesday, Compton walked back those comments, clarifying via X that he was “just busting balls.”

“Flabbergasted at how many people took this seriously,” his post began. “A couple media outlets reached out directly, asking if I’d go on record, if I’ve spoken w Travis, if there are others that are upset. Insanity!!! 😂😂.”
He added, “I was just busting balls. Of course Dean Blandino was invited to the wedding. He’s practically a teammate of Travis’s being a former NFL Referee.”
Swift and Kelce’s ceremony at MSG was one of the biggest celebrity weddings of all time. Alongside their families, a star-studded roster of friends and colleagues — including Patrick Mahomes, Selena Gomez, Paul Rudd, and Brad Pitt — helped them celebrate their big day.
Kelce’s Happy Gilmore 2 costar Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, and Swift’s longtime friend Lena Dunham reportedly made a risqué joke while giving a speech.
