Kendra Wilkinson said she’s embracing aging and focusing on self-love and her children instead of dating
The former Playboy model turned 41 in June and shared that she’s no longer trying to maintain a “sexy” image
Wilkinson added that she hopes to inspire women by promoting positive messages about aging and finding peace with life changes
Kendra Wilkinson sounded off on getting older, saying she’s “not trying to be sexy” and, instead, is focusing on “changes that suit me only and my kids.”
“I’m ok aging. I’m ok not being young Kendra anymore. I’m not playboy anymore,” wrote Wilkinson on her Instagram stories on Wednesday, July 8. Wilkinson, who turned 41 in June, was 18 when she first moved into the Playboy Mansion. She began starring on the E! reality show, The Girls Next Door when she was 19.
“I’m not trying to be sexy,” Wilkinson continued on Wednesday. “Dating and men aren’t on the [forefront] of my mind. Looking exactly how i want and loving myself exactly how I am is where I’m at. Finding gratitude and my peace everyday is my objective.”

The model-turned-realtor, who shares son Hank Randall IV, 14, and daughter Alijah Mary, 12, with ex-husband Hank Baskett III, went on to share that she’s “loving ME and exactly who I am and turning into. Had to get through the ‘what do people want from me’ to get here. Making changes that suit me only and my kids.”
Wilkinson responded to a critic who pointed out that she’s shared similar sentiments about aging in the public eye before.
“A lot of people don’t see the posts and I get new followers who criticize my age,” she replied. “Just want to push positive powerful messages to the world about age. Think it’s important for women and girls. That’s all.”
Another commenter was more aligned with Wilkinson’s sanguine take on aging, writing that it “is a privilege” that “many don’t get to experience.”
In March, Wilkinson fired back at a commenter who insulted her appearance, “I’m ok with aging ‘poorly.’ “
“For some reason I’m happier than I’ve ever been lately even with a little weight gain and wrinkles,” she said, “and I’m not going to tie my happiness again into the negative energy.”

She went on to share that she’s “a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life.”
“I hope that i can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place,” she wrote. “I was verrrry young when i started tv and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame. 😂.”
