The most popular baby names of 2025 have been revealed, with Olivia holding the top spot for girl baby names for the tenth row in a year. Among the top five names is the name of a lesser-known royal. Isla was ranked fourth in the list, and is the name of the youngest daughter of Peter Phillips and his first wife, Autumn Kelly.
Born Isla Elizabeth Phillips on March 29, 2012, at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, the young royal is the granddaughter of Princess Anne and a great-granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Isla is one of the many royal girl names that made the 2025 list. Isabella, the second daughter of Lord and Lady Fredrick Windsdor; Sienna, Princess Beatrice’s daughter; Mia, Zara and Mike Tindall’s daughter; and Lily, spelt differently but the nickname of Harry and Meghan’s daughter, Lilibet, all featured among the most popular baby girl names.
The 14-year-old has grown up outside of the spotlight, as her father does not hold a royal title. While having a more normal childhood than other royal children, Isla and her older sister, Savannah Phillips, have been spotted at major royal gatherings.
The couple went public with their relationship in May 2024, with their engagement being confirmed in August 2025.
Their special day last month was attended by many royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, who led the way, arrived by car. The couple were joined by the likes of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence, who followed behind.
Harriet’s 14-year-old daughter, Georgina, also served as a bridesmaid with her stepsisters at the wedding. The three teens play for the same hockey team, which is how their parents met.
