Millennials, if you can believe it, Lindsay Lohan—the star who rose to fame at a remarkably young age thanks to her performances in films like The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday—just celebrated her 40th birthday.
Lohan documented the festivities on her Instagram Story, where she was seen celebrating her milestone day in a piece from one of the newest designer collections: a vibrant minidress from the Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2026 line.
The sparkly silver dress was defined by a waterfall of beaded fringe in front, with a print of purple flowers formed by the coalescence of the swishy strands. Lohan paired the statement piece with stacks of gold necklaces, stud earrings, and a set of strappy heeled sandals. Her blonde hair, meanwhile, was styled down in loose waves.
While this appeared to be Lohan’s official celebration, the Mean Girls star also shared a photo dump the day prior that saw her celebrating in more intimate fashion with her family, including her mom, Dina, and her siblings, Michael, Aliana, and Dakota. Also pictured was her husband, Bader Shammas, and their three-year-old son, Luai.
On the actual day of her 40th, July 2, Lohan shared an emotional message with her followers, looking back at the decades of her life so far. “Forty. Grateful for every chapter that brought me here,” she wrote. “For the lessons, the laughter, the love, the unexpected turns, and the people who’ve stood beside me through it all. This next decade feels different. More grounded. More intentional. More joyful. Here’s to family, friendship, new beginnings, and making the most beautiful memories yet.”
