Bleecker Bell, a new 200-capacity music venue, is set to open in fall 2026 at 163 Bleecker St. in New York City’s legendary Greenwich Village, becoming the Village’s first new club in two decades.
The forthcoming venue has been kitted out with state-of-the-art sound systems, lighting, and acoustics, breathing new life into the neighborhood’s rich musical history. Modern design coats the venue’s interior, creating a comfortable experience with a full bar, green room, table and banquette seating, and a double-high ceiling with a mezzanine overlooking the stage, expanding the space to accommodate a range of memorable moments.
According to the official press release for the venue, Bleecker Bell will feature live music through “intimate curated performances from emerging and established artists spanning folk, Americana, jazz, and rock & roll, reflecting and celebrating the area’s musical roots.” Bleecker Bell’s inception was based on a unifying principle: to keep live music live and to bring fans “an up-close and personal concert experience with their favorite artists.”
“Bleecker Bell is built to continue the legacy of what makes Greenwich Village so special – the tiny clubs where fans can get an up-close and personal experience with their favorite artists…But with some 21st-century updates,” Booker & Talent Buyer Drew Hart exclusively tells Pollstar. “We wanted the sound, the greenroom, every part of the artist experience to make it their favorite stop on tour.”
Greenwich Village’s new live music destination was created by the owners of legendary New York music institutions Café Wha? and Groove, along with concert promotion company Village Presents. With that, Bleecker Bell is a new member of the Wha Entertainment family, which includes the aforementioned Café Wha? and Groove, and will connect with Wha Entertainment’s concert promotion arm, Village Presents, as a result.
The brains behind Bleecker Bell’s operating team include Principals Rani Marom, Ofer Cohen, and Nir Liwnat, who were introduced to the business through management and operations roles at the former B.B. King Blues Club & Grill location in Times Square and at The Blue Note. Co-Principal Benjamin Chuchinsky brings his expertise as Managing Director of Cafe Wha Entertainment and Band Leader of the Cafe Wha? House Band, while Director of Musical Operations Hap Pardo has worked with a wide range of artists, from Van Halen and Elton John to Sabrina Carpenter and Jon Batiste. They are joined by Hart and Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist Andi Kausch.

“While creating Bleecker Bell, we’ve been deeply inspired by the musical and cultural impact of Greenwich Village across decades,” Marom said in a statement. “Since 1958, the legendary Café Wha? alone has hosted Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Allen Ginsberg, with Bleecker St becoming the place to discover new artists. We’re excited to reintroduce that joy and power of intimate live music to new audiences.”
Bleecker Bell is scheduled to open at 163 Bleecker St. in New York City’s Greenwich Village this fall.
Café Wha? stands as one of New York City’s most legendary music venues, having served as a launch pad for Bob Dylan’s career when he first arrived in the city. The club also served as an early stage for other iconic stars, including Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen.
