Madison Square Garden is denying a new report from WIRED claiming the venue keeps a running list of musicians and celebrities flagged as potential risks, with race, gender, and sexuality noted in some cases.
A spokesperson for MSG called the report “inaccurate and false” and said it is “pursuing legal remedies.”
WIRED’s reported findings, published Thursday, stems from an alleged data breach of Madison Square Garden’s computer systems in June 2026. The stolen data was later published online after MSG reportedly refused to pay the hackers’ ransom, and has since sparked multiple federal class-action lawsuits against MSG over data privacy practices.
