Riley Green has released the official music video for his summer single ‘Think As You Drunk’, offering fans a light-hearted, chaotic visual to match one of his most playful tracks to date. The song features on his upcoming album That’s Just Me, which is set for release on September 18 via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.
Filmed at Green’s own Duck Blind venue in Nashville, the video leans fully into the song’s barroom spirit. Directed by Wes Edwards, it follows an increasingly overserved Green as a normal night out quickly unravels into a string of mishaps, before ending with him taking to the stage in front of a lively crowd. The clip captures his trademark humour and easygoing personality, with an added cameo from his corgi, Carl, bringing an extra touch of charm.
Originally released earlier this summer, ‘Think As You Drunk’ is rooted in classic country storytelling, balancing humour with a sense of nostalgia. The track pays tribute to country legend Toby Keith, combining a heartfelt nod to his influence with a rowdy, singalong-ready energy. Written by Green alongside Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan, Wyatt McCubbin and Scotty Emerick, as well as featuring a posthumous credit for Keith, the song reflects the kind of honest, down-home perspective that has become synonymous with Green’s music.
The release of the video continues to build anticipation for That’s Just Me, a project written and recorded during a pivotal year for Green while on the biggest tour of his career. Produced by Dan Huff, the album is set to explore a wide range of themes, from love and heartbreak to escapism and country pride, all delivered in Green’s plainspoken, lived-in style.
Fans have already had an early look at that range through recent releases including the tender ballad ‘My Way’, which featured on CBS’ Marshals, and the slow-burning duet ‘Go Again’ with Hannah McFarland. Together with ‘Think As You Drunk’, they hint at an album that balances emotion, humour and authenticity.
With the new video now out, Green continues to build momentum ahead of the album’s release, and if ‘Think As You Drunk’ is any indication, he’s doing it with a drink in hand and a grin firmly in place.
