Vive la France: A Wine and Food Event
5:30 p.m. July 14. Jackson’s Steakhouse, 400 S. Palafox St. Bastille Day is the French national holiday, la Fête du 14 juillet. It commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, an act that led to the conclusion of the French Revolution and the beginning of French independence. With Bastille Day serving as the inspiration for the tasting, Jackson’s own Jean Pierre N’Dione has hand selected four stellar French wines to complement a selection of classic French dishes as prepared by Chefs Irv Miller and Jeremiah Taylor. Bands on the Beach
7 p.m. July 14. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Owen Finley Electric String Band Club. Underoath

Pensacola Beach Air Show
July 15 though 18. Pensacola Beach. Pensacola’s hometown heroes will take center stage during a historic summer celebration as the Pensacola Beach Air Show returns, hosted by the Santa Rosa Island Authority. This year’s event carries extraordinary significance as it honors the 80th anniversary of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels while also celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Set against the sweeping shoreline of the Gulf, the show becomes more than an air demonstration. It stands as a tribute to eight decades of naval aviation excellence and two and a half centuries of American freedom, service, innovation, and sacrifice. The week begins around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday with Breakfast with the Blues. At 2 p.m. Thursday, the Blue Angels will conduct an over-water practice session. A full dress rehearsal will take place Friday with the demonstration getting underway at 10:30 a.m. and the Blue Angels flying at 2 p.m. The official Pensacola Beach Air Show takes place Saturday and will follow Friday’s dress rehearsal schedule. A Celebration of Flavor: San Marzano Tomato Wine Dinner
