The 44-year-old Princess attended the last day of the Wimbledon Championships in London on July 12. Her husband, Prince William, and their two oldest children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11, accompanied her to the event. The family took their places in the front row of the Royal Box at Centre Court. They received a prolonged standing ovation from the star-studded audience ahead of the final match, per PEOPLE.
A longtime patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Princess Catharine looked elegant in classic Wimbledon style. For the occasion, she wore a green midi dress by Emilia Wickstead. It paired beautifully with the purple-and-green pin denoting her patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The late Queen Elizabeth appointed her to the role in 2016. Kate Middleton herself is an avid tennis player and has a court at her country home.
In her role as patron, the Princess takes part in the trophy presentations for the men’s and women’s singles finals. She awarded the Venus Rosewater Dish to Czech finalist Linda Noskova on Saturday, July 11. After the men’s final, she will present the men’s trophy, the gold cup topped with a pineapple, to either Italy’s Jannik Sinner or Germany’s Alexander Zverev.
The gentlemen’s singles final is a match that Kate Middleton has made a family tradition. She previously attended the championship with Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte in both 2023 and 2025. In 2024, the Princess watched the final with Princess Charlotte and her sister, Pippa Middleton.
