Graham Norton says he almost had to kick a celebrity off his show to fit Taylor Swift in.
The talk show host reveals Swift was the one who told him not to “bump” anyone.
She appeared on the Oct. 3, 2025 episode alongside Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi.
Take note: you could be Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy yet Taylor Swift will almost always get the first seat on The Graham Norton Show couch.
In a recent sit-down chat with British GQ‘s Ben Allen, Graham Norton revealed that he almost had to bump an A-lister from his show for the Oct. 3, 2025 episode after Swift confirmed her presence shortly before airtime.
“The last time [she was on the show], she was a very last-minute booking. The show was fully booked. So we thought, ‘We’re going to have to bump somebody,'” Norton explained. “Word came back from Taylor: ‘No one must be bumped.'”
Swift appeared alongside Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and musical guest Lewis Capaldi on Norton’s program last fall while promoting her album The Life of a Showgirl. She ended up having such a good time that she invited all of her fellow celebrity guests to star in one of her music videos.
“That was a good show to be on,” Norton told Allen, “because everyone ended up in the ‘Opalite’ music video. Everyone!”

During the episode, Swift also confirmed that Norton would be invited to her and Travis Kelce‘s wedding, which took place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. It was the first instance Swift admitted she would be inviting hundreds of people to their nuptials as to avoid a limited guest list.
“I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount [of guests] and people are on the bubble, right?” she told Norton at the time. “And you have to evaluate and assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that. Anyone that I’ve ever talked to [is invited].”
Norton, as well as 1,000 other guests, were in attendance at the wedding. Before he left London for New York, Norton told Allen that he almost said “no” to going for one silly reason.
“The thing about Taylor’s wedding is, I think, the cool thing to do is not go and then tell people I went because I can’t tell anyone anything about it anyway,” he joked. “You kind of have to say yes because you want the story, but then you can never tell the story. It’s sort of hell.”
Although photos of the bride and groom have not yet been shared, Swift and Kelce did offer up some details from their nuptials. The couple wore Christian Dior Haute Couture (designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections) and did not have a wedding party.

“Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” a statement from a rep shared with PEOPLE read. “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Jason’s four daughters also served as flower girls.
“They’re beautiful, they’re incredible personalities. And Travis and Taylor love them,” Jason told the Reno Gazette Journal of his kids. “So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day.”
