(KNOX) – A thrilling seventh-inning rally fueled a doubleheader sweep for the Grand Forks Royals in American Legion baseball Tuesday night.
Grand Forks scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh after entering the inning trailing 4-0 to win in walkoff fashion 5-4. The Royals then scored five in the bottom of the second of game two to win 5-3 in the nightcap.
The two wins keep the Royals in contention for a top-four finish in the statewide AA league. The Royals are now 7-7, trailing the Bismarck Governors for fourth place. The Governors are 6-5, and play in Grand Forks Thursday.
