Suzette Evans, the Twitch streamer known online as SuzieSmalls, died on July 13. She was 51.
On July 13, officers for the New York Police Department responded to a call at 9 a.m. in Queens, N.Y., of an “unconscious person,” a police spokesperson told PEOPLE. The spokesperson said a 51-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for New York City’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed Evans’s death to PEOPLE. Her manner of death was natural; her immediate cause of death was chronic alcohol use, and diabetes mellitus and hypertension were contributing conditions, the spokesperson said.
The NYPD spokesperson told PEOPLE the case did not appear to be suspicious and an investigation “remains ongoing.”
Evans maintained a following of over 8,000 on Twitch, where she shared comedy content and a look into her daily life. She also grew her following earlier this year when she appeared for several days on Fishtank LIVE, a controversial and vulgar livestreamed reality competition show.

The content creator last updated her Instagram account on July 4, seemingly sharing the news that she was set to appear in another livestreamed reality series. Her most recent clip on Twitch is dated to “2 weeks ago.”
