Prince Harry’s long-awaited reunion with King Charles wasn’t just about repairing his relationship with his father, but also Queen Camilla.
People Magazine reported that Camilla joined the private family gathering at Highgrove House on July 10. Harry reunited with Charles alongside Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Now, royal author Catherine Mayer shared that Camilla’s attendance underscored her central role in Charles’ life. “She is a non-negotiable part of Charles’ life.”
“There is no reconciliation with him without her,” Catherine added.
As no details of the meeting have been shared, a source said, “It is better that people don’t know anything about these meetings.”
“They should be allowed to rekindle those family ties,” they added.
It is pertinent to mention that Prince Harry has previously been candid about his complicated feelings toward his stepmother, Queen Camilla.
In his 2023 memoir Spare, he alleged that Camilla leaked stories about him to improve her public image, though he later said he remains “perfectly pleasant” with her and does not view her as an “evil stepmother.”
