After the wedding comes a family? That’s what people say, after all. And Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had quite a wedding, getting married at Madison Square Garden the weekend of July 4. So, are they now thinking about expanding the family?
Reportedly, they already had. Page Six is saying that Swift and Kelce have had a dog for “close to a year” and are “very happy” about “their shared pet.”

The outlet is reporting the dog is a Samoyed breed. It was seen in Florida last weekend with Kelce as he got out of Swift’s private jet.
Speculation that the two had a dog grew after the wedding, when the first leaked images from the nuptials showed the bride and groom holding a white dog. Neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed anything about the new family member, so we don’t know the pup’s name or age.
What we do know is that he’s likely sharing a space with Swift’s famous cats. She adopted Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson in 2011 and 2014, respectively, followed by Benjamin Button in 2019. And yes, the cats are named for exactly what you think: the Grey’s Anatomy character, the Law & Order: SVU character, and the main character in the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Swift previously told Time magazine, “I’m obsessed. … I love my cats so much.”
Why cats? She also had an answer for that. “They’re very dignified. They’re independent. They’re very capable of dealing with their own life.”
Kelce has also referenced the cats, calling Benjamin Button his “biggest supporter” out of all three, and explaining that he sees him “the most.”
This all comes after a June 17 report from RadarOnline said Swift and Kelce are already “eyeing the next phase of their lives as parents, but they’re not in any rush to have a baby just yet
Swift has said contradictory things about the possibility of a baby. In a 2012 interview with Marie Claire (per Capital FM), she said she wanted to have “a bunch of [children] running around, minimum four,” adding, “the idea of pouring everything you are into another person when you become a parent has always been amazing to me.”
Just two years after that, however, she told InStyle via E! News that she wasn’t sure if kids were in her future. “It’s impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies,” she said.
Our most recent clue? The song “Wi$h Li$t” from Swift’s 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, that people widely interpret as being about Kelce.

For now, it’s a dog on top of the three cats. Pretty full house already.
