Another packed New Music Friday is almost here. July 17 is set to bring highly anticipated releases from Gracie Abrams, Steve Lacy and, potentially, DJ Khaled, giving fans plenty to look forward to as the weekend begins.
The night is headlined by Gracie Abrams, whose third studio album Daughter from Hell officially arrives through Interscope Records after months of anticipation.
The project follows The Secret of Us, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2024 and marked the biggest commercial moment of Abrams’ career. Leading into release day, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter described the new record as more introspective than her previous work, telling The Elvis Duran Show that it feels “more existential” and “less reactive.”
Daughter from Hell was preceded by lead single “Hit the Wall,” and follow-up “Look at My Life.” Producer Aaron Dessner has also praised the album, calling it “the most moving and powerful work we have done together,” while Olivia Rodrigo recently revealed that “Death Wish” is her favorite song on the project.
Also arriving tonight is Steve Lacy’s long-awaited third studio album, Oh Yeah?, released through RCA Records. The album rollout stretched across nearly a year, beginning with lead single “Nice Shoes” in August 2025 before continuing with “The Feeling” and “Is It Cool?”, the latter featuring SZA.
One release remains less certain. DJ Khaled has listed July 17 as the release date for his fourteenth studio album, Aalam of God, which would mark his first project since 2022’s God Did. The album represents his longest gap between studio releases and his first not distributed through Epic Records. However, Khaled has remained unusually quiet in the final hours before launch, leaving fans wondering whether the project will arrive as scheduled or face a last-minute delay.
Noteworthy releases also come from Tinashe, Travis Scott & James Blake, beabadoobee, Tory Lanez, Bella Kay, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kelly Clarkson, and more.
