BTS are showing no signs of slowing down as the global K-pop phenomenon continues its record-breaking “Arirang World Tour”. Fresh from their performances in Munich, the group is heading to Paris before embarking on a packed schedule that includes a new music video, exclusive books and the next leg of their world tour.
Here’s a look at what’s ahead for the seven-member group.
‘Normal’ music video arrives this month
Earlier this week, BTS released the first teaser for the music video of ‘Normal’, a track from their latest album ‘Arirang’.
The full music video is scheduled to premiere on Spotify today before arriving on YouTube on July 19. The teaser offers an unconventional glimpse of the members standing together in a men’s washroom, marking a striking visual departure from the band’s previous releases.
European tour concludes in Paris
BTS will wrap up the European leg of the “Arirang World Tour” with two concerts at Stade de France in Paris on July 17 and 18.
More than 160,000 fans are expected to attend the sold-out shows, bringing the band’s European run to a close before they take a short break.
FIFA World Cup final performance
The group is also scheduled to headline a 30-minute halftime show at the FIFA World Cup final on July 20 (IST).
According to organisers, the traditional 15-minute halftime interval will be extended to accommodate the performance and stage setup. The entertainment line-up also includes Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber.
North American tour resumes in August
BTS will resume the second North American leg of the “Arirang World Tour” on August 1 with a concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to Weverse, all 41 stadium dates across Europe and North America sold out quickly during the ARMY Membership presale.
Two official BTS books on the way
The group has also announced two officially licensed books in collaboration with Running Press, CAKE Corp and BigHit Music.
Both “BTS Lyrics Inside” and “BTS Recipe Book” will be released on September 15.
“BTS Lyrics Inside” is a 184-page collection featuring lyrics, member annotations, English translations and behind-the-scenes stories from the creation of some of the band’s biggest songs, including “Yet To Come” and “Spring Day”.
Meanwhile, the 256-page “BTS Recipe Book” features 15 traditional Korean recipes inspired by different BTS eras and the members’ favourite dishes. The book also includes QR codes unlocking exclusive video commentary from individual members.
