Brenda Fricker, the Oscar-winning actress best known for her role in the Daniel Day-Lewis drama My Left Foot and for stealing viewers’ hearts as Pigeon Lady in the classic Christmas film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has died. She was 81.
Fricker’s agent confirmed the news to the US Sun on Friday, saying: “We will never see her like again and the world is lesser for the lack of her.”
“I was honoured to know, love and work with her and she will always have a place in my heart and in the heart of so many film and TV fans the world over,” he added.
