Matty Healy has tied the knot with model-musician Gabbriette Betchel.
On July 18, celebrity news outlets Just Jared, Extra, and the Daily Mail published photos and a video of the nuptials, which reportedly took place at Castillo del Lago, Madonna’s former estate.
The video showed The 1975 frontman donning a black tuxedo and a bow tie, while his now-wife donned a long white wedding gown as they shared a kiss.
Several celebrities were in attendance, including Charli XCX and her husband, The 1975’s George Daniel, model Alex Consani, influencer Devon Lee Carlson, and actor Duke Nicholson.
Ahead of their wedding, Matty reportedly hired a The 1975 cover band for his bachelor party.
Matty and Gabbriette were first linked in September 2023 after they were spotted kissing, hugging, and holding hands in New York City. This came about three months after the Chocolate singer dated Taylor Swift, who also recently got married to NFL star Travis Kelce.
The newlyweds confirmed they got engaged in June 2024, after Gabbriette shared an Instagram story showing her left hand with a ring. “Marrying The 1975 is very brat,” she wrote, tagging Matty.
Matty’s mom previously said that the couple would get married in July.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled. We couldn’t be happier—she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law,” Denise Welch told Loose Women in May.
In a past interview with E! News, Gabbriette gave a glimpse into her relationship with Matty.
“I think that we just both enjoy good food, honestly,” the Nasty Cherry singer told the outlet. “He’s taught me a lot about food.”
