A new Top Gun 3 project is underway, but it isn’t the sequel many fans were expecting. According to sources, the production companies are providing a new experience in Las Vegas via a Top Gun-themed entertainment center.
What is the new Top Gun 3 project?
On Tuesday, Paramount Pictures and Advent Allen Entertainment announced that they were teaming up to bring Top Gun to the Las Vegas Strip. The attraction will expand the franchise beyond film as a standalone entertainment experience. The third installment of the franchise is also in development.
According to Deadline, the companies teased the project as “a next-generation entertainment destination celebrating the enduring values of excellence, teamwork, courage, competition, and the exhilaration of flight.”
They are developing the project at 4815 Las Vegas Blvd., near Harry Reid International Airport. The attraction will span 2.48 acres near the Las Vegas Strip.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the Hard Deck restaurant and bar featured in the Top Gun: Maverick movie. There are also dining and retail options that consumers can experience to immerse themselves in the world of the franchise.
In a statement, Josh Silverman, President of Global Producers and Experiences for Paramount, said the Top Gun Vegas extension has reached a “significant milestone.”
He added, “The Top Gun films have captivated audiences around the world for nearly four decades, and the Advent Allen Entertainment team has found a location in Las Vegas that exemplifies the spirit of the franchise. Top Gun Vegas will be an immersive destination that authentically celebrates the excitement, adventure, and enduring spirit of Top Gun while giving fans an entirely new way to experience the brand.”
Additionally, the founder of Advent Allen Entertainment, Mark Advent, stated, “The new Vegas site creates a powerful sense of place where the excitement of aviation, the spirit of Top Gun, and the energy of Las Vegas come together in a way that is powerful.”
Top Gun 3 is currently in production, with the script written by Tom Cruise. Jerry Bruckheimer is returning as producer. The movie currently does not have a release date.
