MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – The Kansas City Royals have officially signed one of the top prep baseball players in the Lowcountry and you can take that to the bank, or should I say Banks.
After being selected by KC in the 14th round of the MLB draft last weekend, Fort Dorchester alum Banks Wickersham signed with the royals on Sunday.

Wickersham hit over 500 this past season for the Patriots while playing primarily shortstop or pitching. The Royals drafted Banks as a catcher.
Having signed with KC, Wickersham will forgo his college commitment to The College.
