Amy Adams Does Noir Styling for ‘Cape Fear’ New York Finale Screening

Amy Adams channeled the dark themes of “Cape Fear” with her latest red carpet look at Tuesday night’s finale screening of the miniseries in New York City.

The Oscar-nominated actress turned to Ami Paris for her attire, wearing a semi-sheer, long-sleeve top with a coordinated maxiskirt. While Adams’ blouse added a sensual touch with its semi-sheer fabric, her skirt heightened the effect.

The high-waisted silky garment featured a frayed thigh-high slit, adding to the sultry style and harkening back to the femme fatales of Old Hollywood. Adams continued the dark, monochromatic color scheme with a pair of strappy sandal heels.

Adams kept accessories to a minimum, opting for a few delicate rings and earrings. The actress has collaborated with stylist Petra Flannery in the past. Flannery also works with such stars as Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Saldaña.

Apart from her black and white Brandon Maxwell look for the miniseries’ June 2 premiere, Adams’ “Cape Fear” press tour wardrobe featured a bevy of designs with a dark color palette, a nod to the thriller in which she costars with Patrick Wilson and Javier Bardem.

For her June 8 appearance to promote the series on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Adams wore a look from Versace’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted in September 2025 and was curated by former creative officer Dario Vitale.

The actress continued her dark style streak with a take on the little black dress for her June 9 appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” sporting a belted wrap dress with a midi hemline.

Based on the novel “The Executioners” by John D. MacDonald and Martin Scorsese’s 1991 film “Cape Fear” starring Robert De Niro, the miniseries follows couple Anna and Tom Bowden, played by Adams and Wilson, who face a growing threat to their family when notorious killer Max Cady, played by Bardem, is released from prison. The final episode debuts July 31 on Apple TV.
