Mohegan Sun will mark its 30th anniversary with two October weekends of concerts and special events featuring artists spanning rock, country, pop and hip-hop.
The celebration centers on five performances at Mohegan Sun Arena, according to a community announcement. Alanis Morissette opens the celebration at 8 p.m. Oct. 2. The singer-songwriter remains known for albums including “Jagged Little Pill” and songs such as “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know,” “Hand In My Pocket” and “Thank U.” The Broadway adaptation of “Jagged Little Pill” earned 15 Tony Award nominations and won two awards in 2021.
Foo Fighters take the arena stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 as the band continues its 30th year. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group is known for hits including “Everlong,” “Learn To Fly,” “Best Of You” and “The Pretender.” The band’s catalog includes 12 albums, most recently “Your Favorite Toy.”
