Natalie Imbruglia continues to tease upcoming album ‘Algorithm’, released 4th September 2026, with the release of new single ‘Just Drive’.
‘Just Drive’ finds Imbruglia wrapping her tender-yet-ravishing vocal flair in a whirlpool of electro-pop elegance: a cocktail of luminous, beacon-like synths, flourishes of piano melody, and a juddering, pulsating beat. Delivering lyrics that suggest instead of standing still in heartbreak, Imbruglia is already in motion, foot on the pedal and disappearing into the distance.
Imbruglia says, “I wrote ‘Just Drive’ about a breakup, and about something I think a lot of us do, which is hiding how we feel to make other people feel better. Sometimes you’d rather go through it on your own, as hard as that is. You love the other person so much, you don’t want to put them through it too.”
Imbruglia wrote and produced ‘Just Drive’ with MyRiot (London Grammar, Primal Scream), who she collaborated with on several tracks from the upcoming album. Other contributors on the album include Fraser T Smith (Adele, Dave, Stormzy, Sam Smith), Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, Anu Pillai (Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey), Tobie Tripp (Michael Kiwanuka, Joy Crookes), David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey), Dan Priddy (Bastille), Mark Crew (Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man) and Romeo Stodart (Magic Numbers).
This year has seen Imbruglia reconnect with fans across the world, mixing up headline shows, major festivals and gigs with Tom Jones. Her summer touring schedule continues with the following dates. She will also perform at a special Jose Carreras & Friends stadium spectacular at The Gabba in Brisbane on 5th December.
