All3Media-owned Objective Media Group (OMG)’s recently formed unscripted label, Objective Entertainment, has appointed John Lomax as head of development.
Starting in February, Lomax joins from recently closed UK prodco 12 Yard to take charge of the label’s fledgling slate of entertainment and reality formats for the UK and international markets.
12 Yard was shuttered towards the end of 2024 by parent company ITV Studios.
Over his decade-long tenure at the prodco, development exec Lomax established a track record of securing commissions across multiple genres and channels, including the upcoming reality dating series Cheaters: Unfinished Business (working title) at Netflix.
Other titles include comedy entertainment show I’ll Get This (BBC Two), the stand-up format Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave) and the remake of international dating format The Cabins (ITV2).
Sitting within All3Media’s OMG, Objective Entertainment was launched in 2024. Current titles include the third season of Alan Carr’s Picture Slam, Lingo, The Only Way is Essex and Celebs Go Dating.
OMG’s restructuring of its unscripted operations brought together the production slates and programming of factual formats-skewing Betty TV and entertainment label Triple Brew.
Objective Entertainment’s MD Neale Simpson said: “John is outrageously talented and lights up a room with his enthusiasm for ideas. We can’t wait for him to bring his irresistible energy to our creative ambitions.”
