Some fans of the Bachelor fans are threatening to “sue” the show over one of the new contestants.
The ABC dating show kicked off Season 29 with an unexpected twist during the first impression rose. However, fans were more focused on one of the 25 women after Grant Ellis‘s heart.
As Ellis starts his search for a wife, fans are already criticizing the show.
Chloie Costello was introduced on the show as a plus-sized model, which is the first in the show’s history. Fans had mixed reactions to the contestant. A few were so happy to see Costello as they were hoping to get “some actual body diversity this season,” while others slammed the show for the lack of it.
Someone declared: “I swear to GOD if they eliminate the first plus sized girl in years on night one, I will sue.”
“Without giving away too much, things ended the way they were supposed to end, and I’m happy with it,” he mentioned. “I’m happy with decisions I made, and I don’t regret anything. I’m very happy with the ending.”
According to host Jesse Palmer, his “happy” ending wasn’t as decisive as that of previous leading men.
“I was surprised,” Palmer admitted. “Normally, our leads have a lot more clarity heading into the final day.”
“It got to the point during our conversation where it was so up in the air. We had to get it going. He’s got to make a decision and we have to have an ending,” he revealed.
Ellis dreaded going into “any rose ceremony” as he found the hardest part of the journey being “letting someone down,” especially when “their heart was in it.” He had a similar experience during his time on Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette.
The Bachelor airs every Monday on ABC at 8 pm EST.
