Chappell Roan is feeling ALL the feels right now ahead of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, and honestly, I get it!! The Midwest Princess is up for six awards this year (with noms in the Recording Academy’s core four categories: Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year), so yeah, she’s def feeling the pressure. However! Because she always keeps it real, the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer took to Instagram to thank fans for their support…and explain why she’s feeling “very emo” in the midst of Grammy week.
“My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support I have been given this past year,” she told fans in her candid post, shared on January 29. “I hope you can understand that this has been incredible and scary and spiritual and confusing.”
She added, “I’ve been crying tears of joy and grief and feeling loved and lonely and free. Ultimately, I am grateful for every one of you who gave my music a little spin and showed your ass up to shows and festivals. Because y’all are rockstars I feel like a rockstar.”
To conclude her message, Chappell gave a special shout-out to the queer community. “Just know when I’m up on stage, all I’m really feeling in my heart is love to the queer community, especially those in places where it is unsafe to be yourself,” she wrote. “I see you.”

During a December 2024 episode of Carpool Karaoke (where she memorably sang “Pink Pony Club” with her parents), Chappell spoke about how honored she felt to be recognized at the Grammys as a “gay artist.” As she explained, “How amazing is it that a gay artist wrote a gay song that went No. 1 with a gay writer who did not grow up in the industry, did not have an in, has been busting her ass for, like, a decade? That’s, like, honorable to me!”
