King Charles is calling on his daughter-in-law Princess Kateto take on a very prominant role — giving out royal warrants.
Right now, there are 800 royal warrants issued, which is a way of recognizing individuals and organizations for their contribution to the Royal Household, whether it be in the form of goods or services.
Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner spoke to Fox News about what goes into making such a decision and he has a feeling Charles is very much aware of Kate’s influence on the public and how much she is adored.
Pelham Turner said: “The Kate Effect, which has led to over $1 billion sales in British fashion, could be one of many reasons for King Charles to offer his daughter-in-law the ability to issue royal warrants.”
At this point in time, Charles and Camilla are the only members of the Royal Family who are enabled to give out royal warrants.
According to Fordwich, Kate is being honored with this responsibility due to her “poise, intelligence, tact and reliability.”
This will be the first time in 115 years that the Princess of Wales gives out royal warrants, with the last being the future Queen Mary.
