Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah Jeter enjoyed a date night at the star-studded Reserve Cup Miami over the weekend.
The Jeters, who were seated near Zac Efron at the padel tournament — padel is a racquet sport similar to tennis — were in high spirits at the third and final night of the event and enjoyed their evening out together and with friends.
While the 50-year-old Yankees icon arrived in Miami for the first two days of the tournament, Hannah — who has been married to Derek since 2016 and shares four children with him — accompanied her husband for the gripping finale on Saturday, January 25.
“The couple looked to be having a great time and laughing a lot,” a source shared. “They were very low-key but everyone noticed the famed Yankee and his beautiful wife.”
In the VIP suite with the Jeters were a handful of other star athletes, including San Francisco 49ers’ Nick Bosa, and soccer star Paul Pogba. Actress Claire Holt was also in attendance.
Efron, for his part, was “fully engaged and cheering throughout the matches and expressed keen interest in learning more about the sport,” an insider revealed. “He also tried to go unnoticed as he wore a beanie and sweatshirt.”
Derek, however, was not just there to watch the padel matches play out — he put his captain hat back on to lead his team (Team Reserve) against comedian Andrew Schultz’s (Team Miami) throughout the majority of the 2025 Reserve Cup Miami. The two elite teams were composed of 16 of the world’s top-ranked padel players who competed over three days of exhilarating matches — with Schultz’s team, Team Miami, ultimately coming out on top.
In addition to Jeter, another big-name athlete was also on hand: Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, who also served as a co-captain and was the co-chair of the event.
“Padel is fantastic for the city, which I care deeply about,” the NBA star said, quipping: “It also allows me another platform to showcase what I excel at.”
All in all, the Reserve Cares charity donated $600,000 to local Miami charities through Butler’s padel match.
