DYERSVILLE, Iowa (KWQC) – A press conference was held Friday to discuss more details on country music star Tim McGraw’s concert at the Field of Dreams.
The three-time Grammy award winner will step up to the plate to headline the concert event at the iconic film set on Aug. 30.
President of Dyersville Events Nathan Runde said the event will serve not only as a celebration for music but also of history, family, the spirit of baseball, and the life of Tim’s father Tug McGraw, a former MLB pitcher.
“The Field of Dreams is more than just a place: it’s bigger than baseball. It’s a cultural landmark, symbolizes the values that we as Iowans share with the film. Hope, faith, and connection to each other and the land,” he said.
“The fact that Tim McGraw is going to bring a world class event to our corner of Iowa on what would be his late father’s birthday speaks to the inspiration and meaning of this place and the magic of what is possible here.”
