You read that right – Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, NFL’s Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek will bare all for cancer in a two-hour special. “The Real Full Monty” airs Monday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
Watch the event for free with a trial from DIRECTV Stream, or stream it live on Fubo and get $30 off your first month. You can also watch it live on Sling. The special will air on Hulu starting Dec. 10, which you can watch with a free trial or through the Disney Bundle.
About the special:
Six daring male celebrities will bare all to raise awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research during “The Real Full Monty.”
The performers include Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, NFL’s Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek. The event is inspired by the 1997 film “The Full Monty” in which six steel workers form a male striptease act. During the special, Anderson leads the rest of the men in training and rehearsing for one of the most revealing moments in their careers – a striptease in front of a live studio audience.
Along the way, the men will expand their limits, test their modesty and strengthen their bond with a series of rehearsals and experiences, both private and public, designed to build confidence and remove them far from their comfort zone and forge a brotherhood. Each of the celebrities will also share their personal stories of how cancer has impacted their lives.
Award-winning choreographer Mandy Moore has worked on “La La Land,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour.” Next, she will get these men out of their comfort zone and dancing for a good cause.
While the new special may seem risqué to some, it is based on the wildly popular broadcasts with a similar theme in France, Australia, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Fox is partnering with three nonprofits to continue raising awareness for the cause.
Tune in to the “The Real Full Monty,” a special like no other, tonight, Dec. 9, at 8/7c on Fox.
