The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is set to expand into the north west of England with a Liverpool campus in 2025.
This marks a major milestone for the music school, with the expansion backed by a multi-million-pound investment.
The Liverpool campus will share space with creative media education organisation SAE Institute, with ICMP hosting a series of open days to introduce prospective students to the new campus.
ICMP was established in 1986, and its alumni include Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien, Clean Bandit’s Luke Patterson and electronic-pop artist Foxes. Graduates have also worked behind the scenes in major labels, live events, and audio technology development.
“We are excited to be expanding in Liverpool and alongside Leeds, really making our mark in the North West of England,” said Steffan Davies, CEO of parent organisation AD Education UK.
Steffan Davies, Chief Executive of AD Education UK, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, calling it an opportunity to shape the next generation of musical talent in one of the UK’s most vibrant creative cities.
ICMP’s expansion plans don’t end at Liverpool. It is also planning to open a new campus in Leeds.
