Joan Vassos dodged a question about her old flame Gerry Turner.
The Golden Bachelorette star is focused on her future with Chock Chapple, who she got engaged to during the season finale. They are currently marking major milestones like a New York City apartment search.
While she found a “great connection” with Chapple, she has still stayed in contact with her past suitors, including Gerry Turner.
The television personality starred on the latest episode of the Two Jersey Js podcast, where she talked about finding love in her golden years and almost quitting the show. Vassos also talked about her current relationship with her old flame.
She confessed: “We are really good friends still. We stay in touch.”
She mentioned: “I think that we all kind of maybe learned a lesson from Gerry and Theresa that maybe that was too quick and they probably don’t want to make that mistake again.”
Vassos plans to take her time getting to know her fiancé.
“I certainly am not in any rush to get married. I am actually really happy right now, just not having anything to do,” she revealed.
The television personality previously shared her and Chapple plan to “figure out life” with their first year together.
She explained: “Chock has a business in Kansas. I have kids and grandkids and Maryland. I’m not leaving Maryland, but he does have obligations in Kansas.”
