Justin Baldoni’s wife, Emily Baldoni, has officially broken her silence and shared her first public comment since his ongoing and messy legal battle with Blake Lively began.
The actor/director’s wife, 40, had stayed silent since Lively’s bombshell allegations and eventual sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, her director and co-star in It Ends With Us. Her complaint was met by dueling lawsuits from Baldoni and his team both against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds directly, and The New York Times.
Since then, the fight has gotten more intense, with attorneys on both sides making vicious claims of “vendettas,” bombshell clips surfacing of scenes that were called into question, and each swearing they have “concrete evidence” which proves their side to the story.
During the ongoing battle, Baldoni’s wife has stayed quiet and kept herself mainly off social media.
That changed, however, on Friday, Jan. 24, as she resurfaced to share a heartfelt message in support of her husband as she celebrated his 41st birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a photo of herself sharing a kiss with her husband as they also hugged their daughter, Maiya, and their son, Maxwell, sat on his dad’s shoulders.
“Happy birthday my love,” she captioned the oceanfront picture.
“Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again.”
Baldoni went on to turn off comments on the post.
While it wasn’t an explicit statement on the ongoing legal drama, it appeared to reaffirm her commitment to her husband, and indicate she is firmly on his side following Lively’s allegations.
After months of rumors that Lively and Baldoni had disagreements on the set, Lively claimed in December that Baldoni has sexually harassed her, claiming he had inappropriately spoken about a past porn addiction, walking in on her while breast-feeding her youngest child without permission, and attempting to add gratuitous nudity and sex scenes she had not agreed to, among other complaints.
Sharing there had been a crisis meeting with HR, she then accused Baldoni of hiring a crisis PR team to spearhead a smear campaign against her.
She went on to officially sue Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages.

After initially denying all the claims, Baldoni and his team went on to first file a $250 million libel lawsuit against the New York Times for their coverage of Lively’s claims.
He then filed a separate suit against Lively and Reynolds, as well as their publicist, for $400 million, claiming he had been defamed and extorted, and accusing Lively of trying to assert control over the film.
