The King reportedly loves this one breakfast, and it’s a healthy option that is loved by many Brits.
Museli is one of the King’s favourite breakfasts, reports The Sun.
A former royal chef, Mervyn Wycherley, who worked at the palace for 33 years revealed what the royals enjoy for breakfast.
He said the king is “very, very keen on a good breakfast, and all the compotes of fruit and very that sort of thing, mueslis”.
The monarch has previously been hailed for his healthy diet and disciplined fitness routine.
His wife, Queen Camilla, previously called her husband a “mountain goat” in light of his love for walking, reports Hello Magazine.
The royal is also said to follow an 11-minute daily exercise routine devised by the Royal Canadian Air Force, supported by a “low carbon” diet that favours homegrown vegetables, small meals and eggs from his chickens at Highgrove House.
Since the King’s cancer diagnosis, he has continued to follow his healthy diet.
Charles and Camilla are known to enjoy gardening and eating hearty meals using fresh produce – much of which is produced at their own estate.
He is also a keen advocate for sustainability and chooses to follow a mainly plant-based diet in order to reduce his carbon footprint.
“For years I haven’t eaten meat and fish on two days a week and I don’t eat dairy products on one day a week,” the royal told the BBC in 2021.
Many of the monarch’s favourite meals are simple and easy to replicate at home.
Another favourite breakfast of the King’s is eggs.
In 2020, Clarence House famously revealed one of Charles’s favourite brunch recipes, which was cheesy baked eggs.
Posting a picture of the eggs to Instagram at the time, Clarence House wrote: “The Prince has also shared one of his favourite recipes, Cheesy Baked Eggs, which can be made by using any number of our great British cheeses.”
