Samuel Chatto – the grandson of the late Princess Margaret – has been pictured at an Oslo-based art gallery amid fuelling engagement rumours last month.
Pictured alongside the Royal Family on Christmas Day, the 28-year-old’s girlfriend Eleanor Ekserdjian joined the annual walkabout last month.
The History of Art graduate and an accomplished ceramicist, Sarah Chatto’s son joined Joakim de Borda – RAM Gallery’s director – for an informal conversation about the exhibited works. The visit showcased his creative expertise and passion for the arts.
Eleanor – who also describes herself as an “abstract painter and film artist” – fuelled rumours of their engagement after she appeared to have followed Meghan Markle‘s route.
Although not typical of the Royal Family, the now-Duchess of Sussex joined Prince Harry on the Christmas Day walkabout in 2017 – just weeks after the pair got engaged.
Although rumours were sent into overdrive last month, Samuel is typically private about his personal life.
One “observer of the Windsors” previously told the Daily Mail: “This is a clear sign there will be a royal wedding in the new year.”
For Meghan and Harry, the pair wed just five months after their apperance at the 2027 walkabout.
Despite not being a working member of the Royal Family, Samuel is 29th in line to the throne.
Much like Prince Harry and Prince William, Samuel and his younger brother Arthur attended Eton College.
Samuel later attended the University of Edinburgh to study the History of Art. This appeared to be a fitting choice as both his parents have worked as professional artists.
Previously speaking about his artistic heritage, Samuel himself said: “I’ve always had a strong affinity with creating objects, having spent much of my childhood crafting imagined landscapes and sculptural models, which naturally led me to clay during my later years at school.”
