Meghan Markle’s best friend Lindsay Jill Roth has released a new book featuring 250 relationship questions, with many appearing to mirror key moments in the Duchess of Sussex’s royal journey.
The TV producer, who has been friends with Meghan since their days at Northwestern University, published “Romances & Practicalities: A Love Story (Maybe Yours!) in 250 Questions” today.
The book explores essential topics for couples in transatlantic relationships, from family dynamics to financial independence.
In the book’s acknowledgements, Roth paid tribute to her longtime friend Meghan, describing their relationship as “sisters by choice.”

“Meghan Sussex, Meg, to be sisters by choice, still thinking the same thing at the same time after all these years – no matter how many miles between us – is my favourite part of our unbreakable bond,” Roth wrote.
The book is divided into 12 chapters, covering crucial topics from finances to raising children.
Among the most revealing questions is “How did your family resolve conflict?”, which resonates with Harry’s strained relationship with the Royal Family.
In his memoir Spare, Harry claimed his father did not hug him after Princess Diana’s death because he’s “not good at expressing his emotions.”

The book also asks: “What if one of your family members disliked me?”, a question that echoes Harry’s defence of Meghan against the royals.
In Spare, Harry detailed a physical altercation where Prince William allegedly called Meghan “difficult” and “rude”.
The incident at Nottingham Cottage resulted in Harry being knocked to the floor, leaving him with “scrapes and bruises”.
Meghan was reportedly “terribly sad” but “wasn’t that surprised” by the confrontation.

Questions about holiday traditions highlight the stark contrast between Meghan’s first royal Christmas and her current California lifestyle.
In 2017, Meghan experienced her first Sandringham Christmas, describing it as “amazing” with “constant movement and energy and fun”.
Today, the Sussexes celebrate “quiet” Christmases in Montecito, focusing on creating magical moments for Archie and Lilibet.
“We’re always making sure we have something to do,” Meghan told Marie Claire. “Like any other family, you spend time having a great meal.”

The book’s questions about careers touch on the couple’s post-royal financial journey, including their Netflix deals worth an estimated £80million.
Meghan’s latest venture, American Riviera Orchard, marks a return to her lifestyle roots, with plans for homeware and preserves.
Harry’s passion project, the Invictus Games, continues to thrive, with the duke recently promoting the 2025 games through an emotional video about “the healing power of sport”.
