Within the past five years, Prince Harry has been known to travel to the UK for various reasons, such as for his court appearances and patronage of British charities.
The royal, who has resided in the US since 2020, typically only spends a few days in the UK. During his solo appearance at King Charles’s Coronation in 2023, Harry flew home to the US after just 25 hours in his home country.
After his father publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis last year, Harry – who is said to have been “panic-stricken” after hearing the news – travelled to the UK to spend time with King Charles.
Their meeting is said to have lasted less than one hour before the Duke of Sussex travelled to the airport to begin his journey back to his wife and children in America.
Do you think the Duke of Sussex should make more of an effort to spend more time in the UK?
His visit in February 2024 was reportedly “challenging” for Harry, with him said to have found the visit “tough” without Meghan Markle and their children by his side. According to Us Weekly at the time, Harry’s decision to cut the trip short was “primarily due to the discomfort he feels in that environment” and the negative press that surrounded his visit.
Speaking of the currrent situation for Harry, a friend of the Duke said that he is continuing his legal fight for his family’s security protection in the UK.The friend claimed that Harry is keen to “ensure the safety of himself and his family” while in the UK.
The Duke, 40, is said to be wary of bringing his wife and their children – Archie, five, and Lilibet, three – to the UK due to fears over their safety.
Due to their ongoing feud, Harry has not spend any time with his brother, Prince William – or his sister-in-law, niece and nephews.
