Rihanna is heartbroken after hearing the news of her dear friend Lynn Ban.
The reality star has died at age 51 weeks after she underwent emergency brain surgery. She had the emergency procedure after sustaining major injuries from a ski accident on Christmas Eve.
Her son, Sebastian, shared the news to Instagram on Wednesday.
He wrote: “My mum passed away on Monday. I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her.”
The television personality famously starred in Netflix’s Bling Empire: New York. She made her on screen debut in January of 2023, after years of creating jewelry for several celebrities including Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna, who was one of the first to respond to the heartbreaking post.
Lynn’s castmate Dorothy Wang wrote: “Sebastian, we have never met but the way your mom lit up every time she spoke of you – I will never forget. i won’t forget so many wonderful things about your mother. She was a true badass yet the kindest ray of light at the same time.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Michelle Visage responded: “Oh honey I’m so very sorry for this immense loss.”
Kali Uchis commented: “My deepest condolences to you & your family, your mom looks at you with so much love, pride & joy. May her soul rest in peace knowing how loved she is by you too. Though we are all strangers to you we all admired your mom greatly & will keep you in our well intentioned wishes always.”
