Chassidic singer Simche Friedman released a new Israeli-style single titled “Meir Balaila,” accompanied by a music video that expresses how Hashem is always with the Jewish people, even in their darkest moments. Video
A few months after his hit song “Im Yirtze Hashem,” which was a smashing success and enjoyed constant radio airplay, Chassidic singer Simche Friedman released a new Israeli-style single, soulful and caressing: “Meir Balaila.”
“In these sensitive days it is important to convey a message of hope and faith,” Simche tells us. “People need to be reminded that even in the ‘night’ – dark and difficult hours – Hashem gives us the strength to find a shining silver lining of light. After all, everything is part of G-d’s plan, and אין רע יורד מלמעלה””.
“Together with all Jews,” adds Simche, “I pray for the safe return of all the hostages and that we will hear more good news and see ‘moments of light’ in our challenging reality here in the Holy Land. I hope that “Meir Balaila” will touch many hearts and give many people the strength to face any challenge.”
Written and composed by Yair Shoval (“Kama Tov Hashem” and more) and arranged by Shmuel Cohen, “Meir Balaila” comes with an original music video, produced by Miri Tenenold, which gives tangible expression to every word in the song and provides a surprising and enjoyable viewing experience.
