Sirens Of Lesbos will release their debut album ‘i got a song, it’s gonna make us millions’ this Spring.
The Swiss collective – helmed by Jasmina and Nabyla Serag – broke out last year, sharing their ace single ‘Call Me Back’. Heading into the studio, the group have made some bold plans for 2025, including a European tour and their debut album.
Out on April 11th, ‘i got a song, it’s gonna make us millions’ is a fun, tongue-in-cheek dose of experi-pop melodies.
Take new single ‘Let It Hurt’. Out now, the dub-infused roller has a coy, playful quality that recalls Tom Tom Club, or even early Jungle.
The childish innocence masks a lyric about vulnerability, with the pair blending studio invention with a real sense of intent.
“We were in the studio, and as the beat played, we started singing along spontaneously. What came out was ‘let it hurt, hurt, hurt, let it hurt.’ There wasn’t much thinking involved—it just felt right” Nabyla explains.
“Then we had to figure out what it really meant and what we wanted to express,” adds Jasmina. “In the verses, we ultimately drew from our own relationship experiences.”
Tune in now.
