Tom Welling, famous for playing Clark Kent on The CW‘s Smallville, has landed in legal hot water.
The actor was arrested for driving under the influence in the middle of the night in a fast food chain parking lot.
According to official police records obtained, the 47-year-old actor was picked up just after midnight on Sunday at an Arby’s lot in Yreka, California.
Cops say his blood alcohol level was reportedly at or above 0.08%, leading to his arrest.
The incident came hours before Welling took to Instagram to wish his wife, equestrian Jessica Rose Lee, a happy birthday.
While best known for his role as young Superman, Welling has also starred in several other memorable Hollywood programs and films.
He can be found in favorites such as Cheaper by the Dozen, Lucifer, Draft Day, The Choice, and The Fog.
Welling’s representatives have yet to publicly address the incident.
