How would you describe Post Malone’s new Oreo flavor? What does it taste like?
Well, if you ask the Syracuse-born rapper and singer, he calls it “the best Oreo ever.” Malone revealed last week that he created a new limited edition cookie flavor that features a twisted creme center with salted caramel and shortbread flavors sandwiched between a “duet” of chocolate and golden cookies.
Post Malone’s Taste Twist Oreo “is going to f— your life up, in the best way,” Malone said.
“Now that’s a man who understands what people want in a cookie: Chaos,” Stephen Colbert responded on “The Late Show” Sunday night. “This snickerdoodle is gonna break all your furniture and sleep with your wife.”
Then Colbert brought out a package of the sweet treat, which is now available for presale but isn’t supposed to arrive on store shelves until Feb. 3. The late-night host took a bite, and summed up the experience in one perfect joke.
“Mmm. Much like Post Malone’s face, it’s sweet but there’s a lot competing for my attention,” Colbert said while showing a close-up photo of Posty’s many face tattoos.
Colbert turned his attention to other news stories during his “Meanwhile…” segment, including a report about a cat that was mistakenly left on a plane and made three trips between New Zealand and Australia in 24 hours. He couldn’t resist one more crack about the new cookie creation.
“The (cat’s) owner said, ‘How can this happen? How can this happen? Oh my god,’” Colbert said. “Which, coincidentally, is also the official slogan for the new Post Malone Oreos.”
