Sting’s wife is staying strong, despite the singer’s concerning health update.
The Every Breath You Take singer was recently forced to cancel an award show appearance and postpone several tour dates, just hours before a performance. He detailed the reason for the sudden change of plans on his Instagram.
The statement wrote: “On advisement from his doctor, due to illness, it is with sincere regret that Sting must cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday.”
He also revealed he needs to postpone a few of his STING 3.0 concerts. Now, his Phoenix, Arizona show, which was originally scheduled for January 24, will take place on June 1 and his upcoming Wheatland, California concert has been switched to May 28. His performance at the Cherrytree Music Company’s 20th anniversary has also been delayed.
He assured fans that they should “retain their tickets” so they can “be honored” later on.
The film details Styler and Sting’s passion for Italy. She previously opened up about their love for the country during an interview with People.
Styler said: “Sting and I fell in love with Italy many years ago — so much so that after one of our kids was born near Pisa, we spent years looking for a home for us all. Italy has always been incredibly kind to us.”
She added: “Since the 1980s when I made films here in Rome at Cinecittà, then Sting wrote one of his most emotional albums near Pisa the year after his parents died, and at the same time I gave birth to one of our kids, Italy has a special place in our hearts for many reasons.”
She celebrated the release with industry friends like Hugh Grant and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Since her appearance, Sting has clarified his condition, stating he is “steadily improving from a temporary throat infection.”
