James Jordan mourned the loss of his friend and fellow ballroom dancer Andrew Sinkinson.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 46, attended the late dancer’s funeral on Monday (January 27) as he paid tribute to Andrew in an emotional post shared on Instagram.
The dad-of-one was flooded with messages of support as his 228,000 followers offered their condolences.
James began: “So today I said goodbye to a dear friend Mr Andrew Sinkinson.
“It’s hard to put into words how I feel right now but it reminded me of something so simple yet so profound – life is far too short. We are given one chance, one beautiful, fragile life, and it’s up to us to make the most of it.
“If there’s something you really want in life go and grab it with both hands and make it work.”
He continued: “Don’t wait for the perfect moment because there is no perfect moment – there’s only now. We often get caught in the noise the rush the distractions and stresses of life. But happiness isn’t something we find later or somewhere else – it’s something we choose to live now.
“Do the things that make your soul soar. Laugh louder. Hug tighter. Say yes more often. Don’t wait for tomorrow.
“Andrew may no longer be with us, but his memory will always be a reminder that life doesn’t wait. So today choose to live fully, love deeply and never take a single moment for granted. We only get one life. Make it count!!”
James signed off: “RIP My Friend.”
Fans flocked to the comment section, where one wrote, “Sorry for your loss, James. Mr Sinkinson will be a huge miss in the dance world, but what a legacy he left behind.”
“What beautiful words and so true,” a second penned, while a third added: “Beautiful tribute.”
A fourth shared: “So true, sorry for the loss of your friend.”
Andrew sadly died at the age of 61, and The British Dance Council announced his death on January 11.
