Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s latest anniversary dinner was one they won’t forget.
While The Bachelor couple initially had plans to celebrate 11 years together at a “fancy” restaurant, things took a turn when a “childcare challenge” turned into a memorable meal..
“For our anniversary this year, we changed it up a little bit,” Giudici, 38, wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 27. “We love being home. We love being with our kids. And we love fine dining.”
The couple — who are parents to Samuel, 8, Isaiah, 6, and Mia, 4 — decided to let their children plan a special dinner for Mom and Dad.
“We hired Isaiah as our sommelier, Mia as the manager/server and Samuel as our pastry chef,” Giudici explained. “They all took their jobs seriously because they knew it was a special night for mommy and daddy.”
The couple enjoyed delicious food from McDonalds, including chicken nuggets and french fries. For dessert, they could choose between Girl Scout cookies, chocolate M&Ms, an ice cream sundae and other candy.
Before the celebratory meal was complete, however, Giudici joked that the night started “to look a little bit more familiar.”
In a video posted via Instagram, Lowe, 41, was seen singing to the kids in his pajamas while Samuel, Isaiah and Mia enjoyed happy meals.
“Celebrating eleven years with the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Lowe previously wrote via Instagram on Sunday, January 26, when marking the special milestone in his relationship.
In a separate post, Giudici added, “11 amazing years of laughing and holding your hand ❤️ Happy Anniversary my love! @seanloweksu.”
The celebration quickly won over the hearts of followers, including Bachelor Nation’s Lesley Anne Murphy who praised the couple for their creativity.
“I couldn’t love this more!!!” she wrote in the comments section. “Happy anniversary you two!❤️.”
Lowe and Giudici first met in 2013 during season 17 of The Bachelor. During the season finale, Lowe got down on one knee and proposed to his now-wife. They said “I do” during a TV wedding in January 2014.
While Giudici’s latest anniversary dinner may have been prepared by her kids, Lowe previously told Us that his wife is the best cook in the family.
“She’s absolutely the cook [in our household],” he shared in May 2024. “The deal that we have in our house is where if she cooks, I do the dishes, which I’m more than happy to do, and then one night a week I’ll cook and I use ‘cooking’ lightly.”
